December 14th Event: Joseph Duncan; Thunder Bay Institute, Canada

The Significance of the Indigenous Medicine Wheel and synchronicity with Astronomy.

Joseph Duncan, Instructor at Lakehead University (Thunder Bay, Ontario) will speak about the traditional medicine wheel, Bighorn Medicine Wheel and Astronomy. Follow him though his journey researching the medicine wheel teachings through Astronomy.

Joe was a guest presenter at Wyoming High Country Lodge for our annual astronomy excursion. Hailing from Thunder Bay Ontario, we had a chance encounter that resulted in a sharing of information that helped in understanding the “Mystical Site” of Medicine Wheel in the Bighorn Mountains. We are proud to share his insight with our membership.

Skies are darker in Central South Jersey (albeit, not the darkest.)  For those of us from the Philadelphia area, it will be a noticeably darker sky.  Follow our guide's laser bean to find the Andromeda Galaxy, Perseus Double Cluster, and some Dazzling Globular Clusters.
