RAS members are weclome to come out with your gear, binoculars or just your interest.  We will meet live at the Ryan Observatory and will Simulcast our monthly event from Dome 1.  Tonights Virtual guest speaker is Dr. Lydell Nunn

Dr. Nunn offers an introductory presentation on astrophotography, guiding enthusiasts from the most basic setup to building a dedicated astronomy rig. The presentation covers key aspects such as techniques, software, hardware and time management. Designed to be accessible for beginners, the session also offers pathways to more advanced techniques and equipment for those looking to deepen their knowledge of astrophotography.

It’s looking at this point to be a clear night. Although the meeting presentations end at 8:30, we will leave the Zoom link live on the dome telesccope. Nightfall is not till after 10:00 PM. When light allows, we will share some views that one might see on a “Star Survey” at the observatory. We are always searching for new members interested in becoming observatory operators, consider this an opportunity to see in person what it’s all about.
