Stroppel Hotel and Mineral Baths

Out in the middle of South Dakota is Midland. I passed by this way last year and returned to take bath in the mineral hot springs under the Stroppel Hotel. It was so therapeutic with my neck pains last year I had to return.

New owners Laurie and Wally Cox extended hospitality beyond belief. Laurie is a treasure trove of the Stroppel’s amazing history and can also intrigue you with the history of Midland.

After the bath an 18 mile pain free ride through the most beautiful prairie hills takes me to Capa (population 1). For those that traveled with me in the past to Senic SD, well Capa is another great find.

Just off Main Street is the towns center plaza. Can you guess what am I thinking about here ?
